Omar Alo mostafa (8) along with his mother and siblings fled their home in Syria after a shell dropped right in front of their house. When trying to flee, they found themselves trapped between the Syrian Regime and the Free Syrian Army but managed to escape to Lebanon unscathed.
Unfortunately Omar’s father didn’t make it out of Syria and died during their escape. Before his death he supported the family as a school manager. Now the family’s main source of income comes from Omar’s older brother, Nasrallah Al Mostafa (14), who works 15 hours per week. The family said their primary needs include paying off debt, diesel oil for their heater and food.
When asked, Omar also said he would like new clothes for himself and the rest of his family, as well as to be able to repair their tent and acquire wood for fire. One day he hopes to return to Syria and re-build his home with his family, but for now he aims to travel and seek asylum in Germany or Sweden.
