Mousa (9) and Hajar (7) are originally from Ashrafieh Aleppo, Syria. They fled their home in 2012 and have been in a makeshift camp in Bekaa Valley, Lebanon since September, 2014.
The kids were in primary school before the war broke out and said their top wish is to return to school. Their parents said their top wish is for the children to return, too, however, the family is currently focused on obtaining food, oil and clothes for the winter. Only one person in the family works harvesting potatoes earring as much as $10/week. This work opportunity is over for the winter and may return again this spring.
