Malak (12) is pictured here on March 30, 2016 in her refugee camp in Lebanon. Part of a large family with many siblings, Malak fled her home in Aleppo after being caught in crossfire between warring factions in her neighborhood. The family has no information about the condition of the home they left behind.
Malik’s father used to work in construction but now harvest potatoes for the landowner in exchange for debt the family owes on their tent.
They said their greatest needs consist of food, clothes and education for the children.
