I was living with my family in Al Tabka, Syria when the war came in 2013. The Free Army clashed with the regime’s military and along with fighting on the ground, there was bombing from above.
The Free Army drove the regime out of our region and then turned their aggression on the residents. They told us that we must leave our homes or we would be blown up.
My husband and I escaped to another region of Syria with our children but found the same dangers. Finally, we fled to Lebanon where we’ve taken refuge ever since. I try to work harvesting potatoes and earn $6 per day. My husband also wants to work but is hindered by a spinal disc herniation.
Any assistance you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
