Ahmad (11), Rahman (10) and Hamza (6) came to Lebanon with their mother Fadia and grandmother after their car was hit with a barrel bomb in their village in Syria. All five suffered minor injuries and continued on to Homs in search of the kids’ father. They found him working in a hospital in Homs and reunited until again, they came under attack from random air raids. When he was imprisoned, the family fled to Lebanon.
All three children are attending school. Fadia is unable to work as her main priority is taking care of her children and her elderly mother who has loss of vision, heart concerns and diabetes. Fadi said she would benefit from assistance with rent and school tuition fees, winter clothes, diesel oil for heat and food for her children.
