Abbas (3), Sidra (2) and Qamar (5) only recently fled their home from the northwest of Homs, Syria. Their father Hamza explains:
“We moved to many different houses trying to avoid the bombings. We even stayed in semi-destroyed houses sometimes. At one point I was hit in the hand while trying to hide with my family from a bombing after a nearby clash broke out. As a result, I was moved to a field hospital. We were there for a while until we were unable to survive in the siege, from the lack of availability of food and medicine. So we borrowed some money and fled to Lebanon in the beginning of February, 2017.”
When asked about his greatest needs, Hamza mentioned food, and a doctor visit for each, as they all have individual medical ailments.
